“Lego Movie” Crushes “About Last Night,” “Robocop” at Box Office

What started as a close Valentine’s Day race has turned into another blowout for “The Lego Movie.”

Estimates presently suggest that “Lego” will earn an impressive $48.81 million through Sunday. “About Last Night,” which barely fell short of “Lego” on Friday, is expected to settle for about $27.00 million.

Fellow new release “Robocop” will take third with $21.00 million, while “The Monuments Men” will grab $15.00 million in its second week.

“Endless Love,” which placed third on Friday, struggled on Saturday and Sunday for an expected three-day haul of $13.38 million and fifth place. “Ride Along” followed in sixth with $8.76 million, while new release “Winter’s Tale” was good for seven with $7.79 million.
