Kenny Douglass sent along the following: Hey, last saturday (May 8), down in Evansville, Indiana, MECW (Main Event Championship Wrestling) Debuted and special guests were Jeff Jarrett and Jerry “The King” Lawler.
Fans got to meet them both and get autographs and pictures for $10. Jeff Jarrett fought Chase Stevens in the first main event. A very great match as TNA founder beat the former TNA Star.
The last match was Jerry Lawler vs. Dirty Money. Lawler talked on the mic about how great it was to be back in Evansville. Lawler won, of course. They announced at the next show, June 11, “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels will take on Chuck Taylor. And Tommy Dreamer will take on “The Natural” Chase Stevens.
