When it comes to music charts, this has been a great week for Demi Lovato’s “Really Don’t Care.”
Earlier this week, the song, which features Cher Lloyd, reached the Top 20 on Mediabase’s pop radio airplay chart. Currently #16, it is the pop radio format’s seventh-fastest-rising song.
Only MAGIC!’s #5 “Rude,” Maroon 5’s #13 “Maps,” Charli XCX’s #22 “Boom Clap,” Nico & Vinz’ #3 “Am I Wrong,” Sam Smith’s #7 “Stay With Me” and Clean Bandit’s #28 “Rather Be” are gaining airplay at a faster rate.
And, according to an update made Thursday, Demi Lovato’s new single is officially a Top 40 hit on Billboard’s definitive Hot 100 chart.
Listed as the week’s second-biggest-gainer, the track surges a whopping 46 positions to land at #37 on the latest edition of the chart. That gain, which can primarily be credited to the release of the song’s music video, gives Lovato her eighth Hot 100 Top 40 as a main/lead artist.
Lovato previously reached the Top 40 with “This is Me,” “Here We Go Again,” “Skyscraper,” “Give Your Heart a Break,” “Heart Attack,” “Let it Go” and “Neon Lights.”
She also reached the iconic portion of the chart as part of the “Camp Rock” cast’s “We Rock” and on Disney’s Friends for Change’s “Send it On.”
