A strong performer by AMC standards and a very competitive one within the overall cable market, “Better Call Saul” nonetheless remains in a ratings decline.
After slipping by 13% last week, the “Breaking Bad” spin-off suffered another 12% dip in adults 18-49.
This week’s broadcast, which was the show’s fifth, drew a 1.22 adults 18-49.
As far as cable programs go, its rating trailed only those of “Love & Hip Hop” (1.39) and the latter two hours of WWE RAW (1.33 for 10PM, 1.31 for 9PM). If treated as one program, the three-hour RAW narrowly bested “Saul” with a 1.25 rating.
This week’s viewership drop-off was not as significant as the adults 18-49 decline. Monday’s “Better Call Saul” averaged 2.71 million viewers, which represents a modest 6% reduction from last week’s number.
