Ratings: FX’s “Tyrant” Premiere Falls Slightly From Last Year, Sets Series Low

Tyrant [FX]

From a live+same-day standpoint, the adults 18-49 and total viewership figures posted by Wednesday’s “Tyrant” season premiere were down only slightly from those of last year’s opener.

The declines were enough, however, to yield series lows in both columns.

According to L+SD data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s season three “Tyrant” premiere drew a 0.27 adults 18-49 rating and 1.04 million total viewers.

Last year’s premiere was narrowly stronger with a 0.30 rating and 1.06 million. Prior to this week’s broadcast, the viewership figure was actually a series low.

The June 30, 2015 episode held that distinction in the demo; it drew a 0.29 among adults 18-49.

While the second season of “Tyrant” drew lower ratings than the first, it fared far better with critics.
