Iggy Azalea’s “Team,” Demi Lovato’s “Stone Cold” Headed For Pop Radio’s Top 40

Iggy Azalea and Demi Lovato, the artists who collaborated on Lovato’s “Kingdom Come,” are each expected to claim a Top 40 position on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

Azalea’s “Team” received 994 spins during the first six days of the March 20-26 tracking week. The count slots Azalea’s new single at #35 on Mediabase’s building chart.

With only one day remaining in the tracking week, it is a lock to remain comfortably in the Top 40 as the chart goes final.

“Stone Cold,” which received 775 spins during the tracking week’s first six days (+205.1% from the count at this point last week), is meanwhile #40 on the building chart.

While it does not have a huge spin lead over the #41 (Major Lazer’s “Light It Up,” 757 spins) and #42 songs (Sia’s “Cheap Thrills,” 733 spins), its considerably greater rate of acceleration gives ample reason to believe it will stay ahead as the chart goes final.

Moreover, The Chainsmokers’ building #11 “Roses (featuring ROZES)” is due to be removed as a recurrent this week. When that happens, all songs below “Roses” on the chart will shift up by one.

As such, “Stone Cold” really only needs to be at #41 on the building chart in order to claim a Top 40 position on the final listing.
