Meghan Trainor’s “NO” Claims #1 on US iTunes Sales Chart

Thursday is the final day of the current sales tracking week, and Meghan Trainor’s “NO” is making it count. It is up to #1 on the US iTunes single sales chart.

“NO” reached #2 in conjunction with last Friday’s launch but was initially unable to move past Lukas Graham’s “7 Years.” It slipped to #3 when Blake Shelton’s new “Came Here To Forget” roared onto the scene — and into the #1 position — Tuesday.

Aided by exposure on Thursday morning’s editions of “Elvis Duran & The Morning Show” and “TODAY” as well as its considerable gains in airplay, “NO” moved ahead of both songs. As of 12:15PM ET, it was the leader on the all-genre iTunes chart.

A solid first week of sales, airplay, and streaming will allow “NO” to debut prominently on this coming week’s Billboard Hot 100.
