“Beyonce” Singles Hit iTunes, “Drunk in Love” Makes Sales Splash

Beyonce’s surprise, self-titled visual album officially debuted on iTunes last Friday, but it was not until this Friday that the album’s individual tracks became available for purchase.

Since releasing, all fourteen tracks, predictably, have ascended into the top 200 of iTunes’ overall single sales chart. A few, however, made particularly loud entrances.

“Drunk in Love,” Beyonce’s collaboration with husband Jay-Z, is presently the album’s best individual performer at number six. The song was released to urban radio as the “Beyonce” promotional push kicked off last week.

“Mine (featuring Drake)” is the album’s next best performer at #20, while “Pretty Hurts” is second runner-up at #32. “Partition” and “***Flawless (featuring Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie)” follow at 36 and 43, respectively, while “XO,” the album’s representative at Top 40 radio, is number 46.

Other charting songs:
Blow – 97
Jealous – 106
Superpower (featuring Frank Ocean) – 111
Blue (featuring Blue Ivy) – 116
Haunted – 136
Rocket – 152
Heaven – 171
No Angel – 174

After moving 617,000 copies in its first week, the “Beyonce” album is expected to add more than 250K copies to its tally this week.
