Billie Eilish’s newly released “when the party’s over” is resonating with music buyers.

The song, which launched on the US iTunes store late Tuesday/early Wednesday, quickly blasted into the upper reaches of the US iTunes sales chart.

By 12:05AM ET Thursday, it was in the store’s Top 5.

“when the party’s over” currently sits at #5 on the all-genre chart, trailing only Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow,” Lady Gaga’s “Always Remember Us This Way,” Marshmello & Bastille’s “Happier,” and Halsey’s “Without Me.”

“when the party’s over” is also attracting interest in other media. The audio, as an example, already boasts nearly 2 million views on YouTube.
