Cardi B’s “Invasion Of Privacy” Receives Gold Certification In The United States

“Invasion Of Privacy” attains gold status upon release.

The RIAA certified Cardi B’s “Invasion Of Privacy” gold on the morning of April 6 — the same morning it officially launched at retailers.

The certification confirms 500,000 in US units, with each unit equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.

While official first-week album sales data is obviously not yet available, it was not needed to confirm the certification.

“Invasion Of Privacy” includes Cardi B’s 5x platinum single “Bodak Yellow” and platinum single “Bartier Cardi (featuring 21 Savage).” Their certifications confirm 6 million in US single units — or 600,000 in US album units.

Their success alone, therefore, establishes “Invasion Of Privacy” as a gold album. Early numbers for singles “Be Careful” and “Drip” only further cement the gold status.
