To the surprise of some observers, Cardi B’s “Invasion Of Privacy” did not rocket into the #1 spot upon making its debut on the US iTunes store.

It, in fact, took a little while to even crack the Top 10.

Eventually, however, it made its move. And by Friday morning, it was #1 on the digital retailer’s all-genre chart.

It remains in that pinnacle position as of press time at 9:15AM ET. Thirty Seconds To Mars’ “AMERICA,” which spent the early morning hours at #1, is down to #2.

The new “Jesus Christ Superstar: Live In Concert” soundtrack is #3, while Hillsong United’s new “There Is More (Live)” sits at #4. The Weeknd’s “My Dear Melancholy,” last week’s best seller, is positioned at #5 on the current chart.
