Portugal. The Man’s “Live In The Moment” Officially Earns #1 At Alternative Radio

Portugal. The Man’s “Live In The Moment” rises to #1 on this week’s alternative radio airplay chart — and it does so with a record single-week play count.

Up one place from last week’s position, “Live In The Moment” earns #1 on the strength of its 3,495 tracking period plays. This week’s play count tops last week’s mark by 211.

It also represents a new Mediabase record for single-week spins at alternative radio.

The Revivalists’ “Wish I Knew You,” which previously held the record, received 3,488 spins during the April 30-May 6, 2017 tracking period.

“Live In The Moment” seizes the throne from Imagine Dragons’ “Whatever It Takes,” which falls to #2 after two weeks on top.

The Imagine Dragons tune received 3,388 plays during the March 18-24 tracking period (-51).

Foster The People’s “Sit Next To Me” rises one place to #3 with 2,750 spins (+21), while a play count of 2,687 (+165) lifts Lovelytheband’s “Broken” two spots to #4.

The Killers’ “Run For Cover,” which received 2,560 tracking period plays (-15), holds at #5.
