First Look: NBC’s “Blindspot” Begins Season Two On September 14

The wait is almost over.

Off since the May 23 first season finale, “Blindspot” returns in less than a month. The season two premiere airs at 10PM ET on Wednesday, September 14.

In recent media interviews as well as the show’s TCA panel, showrunner Martin Gero confirmed that the premiere will provide some eagerly anticipated answers. It will share Jane Doe’s real first name. It will reveal the identity of “Shepherd,” the mysterious figure at the helm of Jane’s old group. It will provide more details about Orion.

It will also follow-up on the rift that has emerged between Weller and Jane. In the closing moments of season one, Weller learned that his father did, in fact, murder Taylor Shaw decades prior. The revelation confirmed that Jane could not possibly be Taylor Shaw, thus prompting Weller to wonder who she really is — and why she is getting so heavily involved in the FBI’s cases. Angry and worried, Weller arrested the woman he spent the entirety of season one trusting.

In advance of the September 14 premiere, NBC shared production stills and behind-the-scenes photos from the episode. It also shared cast gallery images. Both sets of pictures follow:
