Backstage Look: “Two and a Half Men” Says Goodbye in Series Finale

After twelve seasons and some very public controversies involving one and a half of its original men, CBS’ “Two and a Half Men” finally says goodbye.

The farewell comes during this Thursday’s series finale. Entitled “Of Course He’s Dead – Part One and Part Two,” the two-part, hourlong sendoff is expected to not only conclude the show’s ongoing storylines but also provide an update on original character Charlie Harper, whose death was used to explain Charlie Sheen’s heated departure from the show.

“Charlie Harper is alive. Or is he?” asks CBS in its official press note for the episode. The note adds that “surprise guest stars” will appear during the finale.

CBS remains quiet on whether Sheen is actually going to appear in Thursday’s broadcast, but its press release has sparked a serious conversation about the possibility.

To provide additional hype for Thursday’s finale, CBS shared photos from the taping of the final episode. Careful not to provide spoilers, the photos focus on current stars Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer rather than on surprise guests. Producers like Chuck Lorre are also featured.
