“The Crazy Ones” Cancelled; CBS Also Cuts “Bad Teacher,” “Intelligence”

Saturday was a bad day to be either a CBS bubble comedy or a CBS Monday drama. All five shows that fit into that category were eliminated from contention for the 2014-15 season.

News came Saturday that bubble comedies “The Crazy Ones,” “Bad Teacher,” “Friends with Better Lives” and dramas “Hostages” and “Intelligence” were all cancelled.

With ratings ranging from underwhelming to poor, none of the five series seemed like a strong contender for a second season. And, indeed, CBS opted not to embrace any.
