ABC’s “Nashville” Renewed for Season 3

Chris Carmack’s Tweet might be gone, but the “good news” absolutely did come.

ABC’s “Nashville” was officially renewed for a third season.

Omitted from Thursday night’s renewal announcements and Friday morning’s cancellation stories, “Nashville” emerged as Friday evening’s most talked about entertainment subject.

Reports occasionally emerged regarding the producers’ and network’s ongoing negotiations, but nothing definitive came. By late Friday night, fans were literally begging ABC for an update on their beloved show’s status.

That update came shortly after midnight, when ABC’s Music Lounge Twitter account confirmed “Nashville” will be back for the 2014-15 season.

ABC’s order is reportedly for a full twenty two episodes.
