ABC Cancels “How to Live With Your Parents,” “Malibu Country,” “Body of Proof”

Though modestly-rated comedies “The Neighbors,” “Last Man Standing” and “Suburgatory” squeaked by with renewals–joining hits “Modern Family” and “The Middle” on next year’s roster–not all ABC series received the benefit of the doubt.

Comedy “Family Tools” and drama “Red Widow” were predictably canceled, but ABC also parted ways with bubble series “Body of Proof,” “How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life” and “Malibu Country.”

None was a lock for next season, but “How to Live” in particular seemed like it stood a chance. ABC put that optimism in check with its decisions Friday afternoon.
