TNT Cancels Drama After Three Seasons

TNT officially cancelled Jada Pinkett-Smith’s “HawthoRNe” this week, bringing an end to the drama ahead of a potential fourth season.

“TNT truly appreciates the tremendous dedication of everyone involved,” said TNT’s statement. “The series gave TNT the opportunity to work with many outstanding people, including Jada Pinkett Smith and the rest of the show’s talented cast, crew, producers and writers. We wish everyone involved with HawthoRNe nothing but the best.”

While “HawthoRNe” had been touted as a valuable TNT property in its early days, it seemed to have reached its peak, and the decision was made to pull the plug. “Men of a Certain Age” was also cancelled by TNT this summer, while “Falling Skies,” “Rizzoli & Isles” and “Franklin & Bash” were all renewed.
