UFC Reveals FOX Special Main-Event, And It’s a Big One

UFC President Dana White’s announcement about the upcoming FOX special came with good news and bad news.

The good news–the live FOX special on November 12 will be headlined by a UFC Heavyweight Championship fight between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos. Though Heavyweight Champion Velasquez does not have the name value of Welterweight Champ Georges St. Pierre or Middleweight Champ Anderson Silva, it is hard to call a free, televised heavyweight championship fight anything but a blockbuster.

The bad news–because title fights are five rounds, UFC is only guaranteeing one fight for the special. That means the rumored lightweight contender battle between Clay Guida vs. Ben Henderson will not be on the “main card” (and thus might not end up on the card at all).
