Casey Abrams, Ashthon Jones Advance on “American Idol,” Top 13 Revealed

The first live “American Idol” results show contained few surprises, as the announced top thirteen generally aligns with the quality of this week’s performances and the predictions offered by Headline Planet’s show reviews.

Ten of the thirteen, five guys and five girls, advanced to the finals based on the fan vote. Those performers included Casey Abrams, Paul McDonald, Scotty McCreery, James Durbin, Jacob Lusk, Karen Rodriguez, Lauren Alaina, Pia Toscano, Thia Megia and Haley Reinhart.

The show also made room for three judge wildcard picks. Ashthon Jones, Kendra Chantelle, Robbie Rosen, Stefano Langone, Naomi Adedapo and Jovany Barreto all had an opportunity to earn a vote from the judges. They ultimately selected Jones, Langone and Adedapo to move onto the final round.

The “American Idol” top thirteen finalists take the stage next week.
