Old Spice Guy Scores TV Deal At NBC

Isaiah Mustafa, who starred in the “man your man could smell like” campaign for Old Spice, has booked a talent deal with NBC, Variety reports.

Mustafa’s profile had greatly risen in response to positive feedback for the campaign, and the “attractive guy who’s just as funny and charming” garnered the attention of the network, noted NBC Universal casting VP Grace Wu.

Though NBC could not find a place for Mustafa on its 2010-11 pilot roster, the network still wanted to retain him under a talent deal. He will begin auditioning for spots on veteran and rookie NBC series and also be kept in play for future pilot castings. The focus, at press time, was to find him work on a comedy.
