Tove Lo’s “Timebomb” Won’t Be Next Single; “Moments” Apparently Will Be

Last month, Republic’s radio promotions team opted not to push “Timebomb” as Tove Lo’s next radio single. While it has yet to formally add a replacement single to its radio playbook, it apparently has a candidate in mind.

During Tuesday’s iHeartMedia Music Summit, the Island Records team (which turns to affiliate Republic for radio promotion) spotlighted “Moments” as the next release from the Swedish singer-songwriter.

Long a fan favorite, the song features the signature line “But on good days, I’m charming as fuck.”

In an interview
, Tove Lo expressed hope that the “fuck” would be bleeped rather than replaced by a cleaner word. It will be interesting to see if her wish is granted.

If “Moments” indeed replaces “Timebomb,” it would be the second plan change during the “Queen of the Clouds” era. Previous single “Talking Body,” which reached the Top 5 at pop radio, was a replacement for initially-targeted single “Not on Drugs.”
