A series of unconfirmed and unsubstantiated rumors look towards some “surprises” at the upcoming WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
One, which came directly via a WWE Superstar, nonetheless could have been intended as a joke. Wade Barrett noted on his Twitter, “Just got off the phone with Papa Shango. He claims he is one of the mystery entrants to this year’s Royal Rumble. Great news fight fans.”
Elsewhere, F4WOnline.com rumors suggest that Awesome Kong might make her debut at the Rumble, either as a surprise female entrant or in the Laycool match.
And, according to PWInsider.com, Booker T, who has apparently been meeting with WWE about the prospect fo a return, canceled weekend appearances that would have conflicted with the Rumble.
Again, these rumors are not confirmed but a sign that WWE fans, superstars and media are speculating about the big Rumble “surprises.”
