USA Network just made an announcement that is sure to have “Psych” fans smiling.
The cable network will revealed that it will air a two-hour “Psych: The Movie” special this December. The major cast members — James Roday, Dule Hill, Timothy Omundson, Maggie Lawson, Corbin Bernsen and Kirsten Nelson — will all reprise their roles for the movie.
“The ambitious friends — along with some returning fan-favorite characters — come together during the holidays after a mystery assailant targets one of their own,” says USA of the movie, which is set three years after the series finale. “A comedic thrill ride follows, as the wild and unpredictable PSYCH team pursues the bad guys, justice …and food!”
“Psych” creator Steve Franks co-wrote the special with Roday. Roday is also on board as director.
USA’s long-running, beloved comedy aired its series finale in the spring of 2014.
