Bates Motel [A&E]

While its numbers were respectable by cable standards, the fifth and final “Bates Motel” season premiere trailed last year’s premiere and finale in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Monday’s season five opener drew a 0.51 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 1.34 million total viewers.

The fourth season premiere drew a stronger 0.66 rating and 1.55 million viewers in March 2016. The May 16, 2016 fourth season finale posted a 0.52 rating and averaged 1.50 million in overall viewership.

Monday’s “Bates” was the #12 cable original in adults 18-49 (#10 if the three hours of WWE RAW are treated as one show).
