The Lumineers’ “Stubborn Love” Certified Platinum In US; “Flowers In Your Hair” Earns Gold Award

December brought new RIAA certifications for two The Lumineers single.

The group’s “Stubborn Love” ascended to platinum status on December 12, 2016. “Flowers In Your Hair” earned a gold award on the same day.

The platinum and gold awards confirm US unit totals of 1 million, respectively.

Under the terms of the RIAA digital singles program, each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Stubborn Love” is the second Lumineers single to go platinum in the United States; breakthrough “Ho Hey,” the first, did so in 2012.
