The Jonas-Tove Lo collaboration was formally certified platinum on June 22, 2016. The platinum certification confirms a US unit total of at least 1 million, with each unit equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.
“Close” is Jonas’ third platinum or multi-platinum single as a solo artist; his earlier singles “Jealous” and Chains” are 3x platinum and 2x platinum, respectively.
