Shawn Mendes’ “Treat You Better,” Adele’s “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” and DNCE’s “Toothbrush” are all on pace to reach the Top 20 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.
“Treat You Better” received 3,394 spins during the first five days of the June 19-25 tracking week. Up 45.9% from the count at the same time last week, the tally positions “Treat You Better” at #20 on Mediabase’s building chart.
“Send My Love,” which received 2,982 spins during the same five-day window (7.9%), and “Toothbrush,” which received 2,969 (+15.8%) follow at #21 and #22.
While only “Treat You Better” holds a Top 20 position on the building chart, it is important to note that ZAYN’s building #13 “PILLOWTALK” and Lukas Graham’s building #15 “7 Years” are due to be removed as recurrents this week. That will cause all songs below to rise by two places, thus bringing “Send My Love” and “Toothbrush” into the Top 20.
Grace’s building #23 “You Don’t Own Me (featuring G-Eazy)” is only five spins behind “Toothbrush,” but it is currently losing steam (it is down 3.2% week-to-week). Barring a reversal in trajectory, it will probably not serve as as threat to the aforementioned songs.
There do not appear to be any other imminent threats from below.
