Grammys Drive Sales Chart Gains For James Bay’s “Let It Go,” Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush”

All songs performed during the 58th Annual Grammy Awards received boosts. Some received particularly notable ones.

The most visible of those boosts went to James Bay’s “Let It Go” and Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush.” As of 12:30AM ET — one hour after the conclusion of the live broadcast — both are inside the Top 10 of the US iTunes single sales chart.

“Let It Go” is currently #6 on the chart; it was at around #50 when Monday night’s ceremony began.

Bay and fellow Best New Artist nominee Tori Kelly played “Let It Go” as part of a medley with Kelly’s “Hollow.” That song is currently #36.

“Girl Crush,” meanwhile, is up to #8 following Little Big Town’s performance on the show. The gain is arguably the night’s most impressive for two key reasons:

— Girl Crush was not even in the Top 100 when the show began.

— “Girl Crush,” which has already sold over 2 million copies in the US, has been played at a handful of high-profile awards shows.

Grammy-related songs that shot into the Top 20:

14) Gwen Stefani’s “Make Me Like You”
16) Adele’s “All I Ask”
19) Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud”
20) Carrie Underwood’s “Heartbeat”
