The Weeknd’s “The Hills” Earns 7X Platinum Certification; “Face,” “Earned It” Now 5X

The Weeknd’s biggest three songs recently attained new certifications under the RIAA’s digital singles program.

“The Hills” has officially ascended to 7X platinum status. The certification confirms a US unit total of at least 7 million, with a unit being equal to 1 paid download or 100 streams.

His “Can’t Feel My Face” and “Earned It” concurrently earned 5X platinum certifications, signifying US unit totals of 5 million or more.

The majority of each certification total comes from streams.

According to Nielsen Music, “The Hills” had sold 2.686 million paid US downloads through January 21. “Can’t Feel My Face” had sold 2.325 million, while “Earned It” had shifted 2.456 million.
