Rachel Platten’s “Stand By You” Reaches Gold Status in the United States

Rachel Platten, whose breakthrough hit “Fight Song” recently earned a 3X platinum certification in the United States, now has a second RIAA-certified single.

As of January 25, 2016, her follow-up “Stand By You” is gold in the United States.

Under the terms of the RIAA’s digital singles program, the gold certification confirms a US unit total of at least 500,000. One unit is equal to 1 paid download or 100 streams.

According to Nielsen Music, “Stand By You” had sold 445,916 paid US downloads as of January 21, 2016.
