Charli XCX’s “Break The Rules” Certified Gold in the United States

On December 14, 2015, Charli XCX’s hit “Boom Clap” received a 2x platinum certification under the RIAA’s digital singles program.

Two days later, follow-up “Break The Rules” went gold.

Per the terms of the RIAA’s digital singles program, the gold certification confirms a US unit total of at least 500,000. One unit is equal to one paid download or 100 streams.

“Break The Rules” appears on Charli XCX’s 2014 album “Sucker.”
