OMI’s summer smash “Cheerleader” once again rules the Billboard Hot 100.
In doing so, the tune earns a sixth, non-consecutive week atop the chart. It reigned for four weeks before being dethroned by The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” two weeks ago.
It returned to #1 last week and maintains its lead on this week’s edition.
Based on the song’s recent dominance, Billboard also forecasts that “Cheerleader” will top its annual “Song of the Summer” chart.
In conjunction with its sixth Hot 100 victory, “Cheerleader” holds at #2 on Radio Songs (147 million impressions), Streaming Songs (15.1 million) and Digital Songs (105,000 sales).
The Weeknd’s former #1 “Can’t Feel My Face” holds at #2 on this week’s chart. It maintains its #1 positions on Radio (157 million) and Digital (109,000) but slips to #5 on Streaming (13.6 million).
