A Thousand Horses’ “Smoke” Officially Claims #1 at Country Radio

Following in the footsteps of fellow iHeartRadio “On the Verge” tracks “Where it’s At” (Dustin Lynch) and “Leave the Night On” (Sam Hunt), A Thousand Horses’ “Smoke” has officially reached #1 at country radio.

Spun ~8,185 times during the May 24-30 tracking week, the breakthrough track claims #1 on the Mediabase country radio singles chart. Billy Currington’s “Don’t It,” which led last week’s chart, slips to #3 on this week’s listing.

Not simply the week’s highest-scoring song in terms of Mediabase chart points, “Smoke” was also the week’s most played and most heard song. Its spin count of ~8,185 and audience impression count of ~58.623 million were the format’s best during the aforementioned tracking week.

Florida Georgia Line’s “Sippin’ On Fire,” which vaults into the runner-up spot this week, received ~7,703 weekly spins and ~55.625 million weekly impressions.

Kenny Chesney’s “Wild Child (with Grace Potter)” (#4) and Kelsea Ballerini’s “Love Me Like You Mean It” (#5) complete this week’s top five. The latter song, which was #8 last week, makes its first Top 5 appearance.
