Ratings: A&E’s “Bates Motel” Falls to Viewership Low, “Returned” Down in Demo

After reaching a series low audience for its March 30 episode, A&E’s “Bates Motel” enjoyed a slight viewership uptick for last week’s broadcast.

This week’s episode fell back down — and then some.

Monday’s “Bates Motel” drew a 0.70 adults 18-49 rating with 1.69 million viewers. Both numbers were down from those of last week’s broadcast (0.71, 1.76 million), and the viewership total represents a new low mark for the series.

Airing on April 7, last season’s corresponding episode drew a considerably stronger 1.0 rating with 2.24 million viewers.

— “The Returned,” which leads out of “Bates,” drew a 0.38 adults 18-49 rating with 1.05 million viewers this week. Last week’s broadcast scored a stronger 0.44 demo rating but the same 1.05 million total audience mark.
