Update: Episode two of CBS’ “Stalker” delivered a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating. Despite the 15% decline from the premiere rating, the number was large enough to give the freshman CBS drama a victory over timeslot rivals “Chicago PD” and “Nashville.”
The episode averaged 8.17 million viewers, which marks a week-over-week decline of 10%.
Earlier in the night, CBS offered “Survivor” (2.5 adults 18-49 rating, 9.59 million viewers) and “Criminal Minds” (2.3 rating, 10.45 million viewers).

The source of poor reviews from critics and polarized commentary from viewers, CBS’ new drama “Stalker” had no prayer of retaining its entire premiere viewership.
Ratings junkies should thus express no shock at the fact that episode two of “Stalker” endured a 15% hit in the overnight household ratings.
After posting a 6.0 for its premiere, Wednesday’s “Stalker” delivered a 5.1 overnight household rating. While there is no guarantee a similar decline will manifest in the adults 18-49 demographic, there is near-certainty that the episode’s demo rating will slip below the 2.0 garnered by last week’s broadcast.
Not of benefit to the “Stalker” cause this week is the fact that lead-in “Criminal Minds” also took a hit in the overnights. After posting a 7.5 overnight rating for last week’s season premiere, “Minds” drew a 6.7 this week.
CBS filled its 8PM hour with “Survivor” (5.9 overnight household rating).
