Brantley Gilbert Album Sales Could Top 200K, Coldplay Also Adjusted Up

Originally pegged for a debut in the 170-190,000 range, Brantley Gilbert’s new release “Just as I Am” now looks like it will move more than 200,000 copies in its inaugural week.

Hits Daily Double’s latest estimates suggest the release is on track for a bow in the 200-220,000 range. Certain to give Gilbert the week’s #1 country album and the #2 album on the overall Billboard 200, it will be the strongest total for a country release since Eric Church’s “The Outsiders” moved nearly 300,000.

Estimates for Coldplay’s “Ghost Stories” were also adjusted up. Initially expected to move 325-350,000 copies, the Coldplay record now looks like a safe bet for 360-380,000.

Other notable new releases come from Phillip Phillips (“Behind the Light,” 35-40,000) and the “The Fault of Our Stars” soundtrack, 30-35,000).
