“The Voice”‘s Cole Vosbury, Matthew Schuler Pushing for iTunes Bonuses

Update: The weekly 11AM voting deadline has arrived, and no “The Voice” contestant secured an iTunes multiplier bonus.

Closest to landing in the top ten was Cole Vosbury, whose “To Be With You” is currently at #15. Matthew Schuler’s “Beneath Your Beautiful” follows at #19, while James Wolpert’s “Without You” claims #21

Caroline Pennell’s “Leaving on a Jet Plane” (#30), Tessanne Chin’s “If I Were Your Woman” (#36), Ray Boudreaux’s “You Are the Best Thing” (#40) and Will Champlin’s “Love Me Again” (#43) follow.

Bringing up the rear are Jacquie Lee’s “Clarity” (#51), Kat Robichaud’s “We Belong” (#64) and Austin Jenckes’ “Your Love” (#109).

No matter how this week’s “The Voice” single sales race concludes, it is clear no performance will rival the impact made by Matthew Schuler’s “Hallelujah.”

After cruising into the iTunes top ten less than three hours after last week’s performance show concluded, Schuler’s performance eventually reached the apex of the single sales chart. It remains a hot seller, and at press time, it holds a more favorable chart position (#12) than any of the recordings from this week’s Top 10 performance show.

Closest from this week’s group is Cole Vosbury’s “To Be With You.” Vosbury’s cover of the Mr. Big guilty pleasure track, which earned strong feedback on Tuesday’s show, is currently number twenty three. With less than seven hours remaining in the voting, it is unclear if the recording will have enough juice to reach the top ten and secure Vosbury a 5x multiplier on his iTunes vote tally. What is clear is that Vosbury’s performance was a favorite of those whose “Voice” fandom manifests as iTunes purchases.

“Beneath Your Beautiful,” the Matthew Schuler song actually eligible in this week’s voting process, follows at number twenty six. Schuler’s rendition, which closed the Top 10 performance show, earned rave reviews, but buyers have clearly not taken to the song the way they did his “Hallelujah.”

At this point, nothing else seems capable of securing a weekly iTunes bonus. James Wolpert’s “Without You,” the next best chart performer, sits at #36. Caroline Pennell’s “Leaving on a Jet Plane” (#47), Tessanne Chin’s “If I Were Your Woman” (#54) and Ray Boudreaux’s “You are the Best Thing” (#60) follow.

Other iTunes rankings include: Will Champlin’s “Love Me Again” (#66), Jacquie Lee’s “Clarity” (#74) and Kat Robichaud’s “We Belong” (#93) and Austin Jenckes’ “Your Love” (#160).

The Top 10 results show airs Tuesday evening. Like last week, two “The Voice” hopefuls will be eliminated from the competition.
