With a variety of great finishes, Saturday’s UFC on FOX Sports 1 card spurred significant curiosity in the post-fight press conference, at which Dana White traditionally reveals the “fight night” bonuses.
The UFC President awarded four such bonuses Saturday, recognizing an action-packed fight, an impressive submission win and two devastating knockouts.
White announced that both Matt Brown and Travis Browne received $50,000 knockout bonuses for their respective wins over Mike Pyle and Alistair Overeem.
Chael Sonnen scored a $50,000 Submission of the Night bonus for his guillotine win over Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, while Michael McDonald and Brad Pickett each leave with $50,000 for their roles in the Fight of the Night.
Update: White later announced that in addition to his Fight of the Night bonus, McDonald also received a $50,000 bonus for his submission win.
