Bishop Briggs’ “River” Reaches 2x Platinum In United States

Bishop Briggs’ breakthrough single “River” just received a multi-platinum certification in the United States.

According to the RIAA, “River” reached 2x platinum on Friday, June 4, 2021. The award signifies 2 million US units, with each unit equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

First officially released in 2016, “River” became a Top 5 hit at the alternative radio format. It also reached the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs consumption chart.

“River,” which received additional exposure via high-profile television performances, appeared on the artist’s self-titled 2016 EP. It later appeared on her 2018 debut studio album “Church Of Scars.”
