WWE delivered one of its best viewership counts in a while care of Brock Lesnar, although the RAW rating was not enough to top game two of the NBA Playoffs battle between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks.
RAW scored a typical 1.7 adults 18-49 rating but saw notable strength in its first hour, presumably due to buzz from Extreme Rules and ongoing intrigue in Brock Lesnar. Hour one delivered a 1.8 with 4.99 million viewers, besting the 1.7 and 4.77 million for the second portion.
That second portion, of course, did not feature Brock Lesnar, whom WWE’s announce team had confirmed left the building shortly after the opening segment.
The nightly cable honors, nonetheless, belonged to TNT’s airing of the down-to-the-wire Thunder-Mavs game, which posted a 2.4 rating and 4.74 million. Earlier in the night, the network’s coverage of the Heat-Knicks game averaged a 2.0 and 4.37 million.
