Carrie Underwood Wins CMA Award For Female Vocalist; Chris Stapleton Earns Male Vocalist Trophy

Carrie Underwood and Chris Stapleton are named the year’s top vocalists in country music.

Wednesday’s CMA Awards ceremony just crowned this year’s winners for female and male vocalist of the year.

Carrie Underwood won the former trophy, while Chris Stapleton took home the latter award.

Underwood beat out Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, and Kacey Musgraves. This year’s trophy marks her fifth time winning the award.

Celebrating his fourth consecutive win, Stapleton beat out Dierks Bentley, Luke Combs, Thomas Rhett and Keith Urban.

Wednesday’s CMA Awards ceremony is nearing its conclusion: the only award left is Entertainer of the Year.
