In May 2017, Amy Shark’s EP “Night Thinker” earned #2 on the ARIA Australian Albums Chart.

This week, her debut LP “Love Monster” takes #1 on that listing.

“Love Monster” follows albums from 5 Seconds Of Summer, Sheppard, Parkway Drive, Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu, Kylie Minogue and Vance Joy in becoming 2018’s seventh #1 from an Australian act.

In conjunction with the “Love Monster” album’s chart-topping debut, hit singles “I Said Hi” and “Adore” make waves on the singles front.

Recent single “I Said Hi” rises fourteen places to #8 on the ARIA Australian Top 50 Singles Chart. Now in its fourteenth week on the chart, “I Said Hi” has gone as high as #6.

While the artist’s breakthrough hit “Adore” does not return to the 50-song chart, it does markedly improve its ranking this week. Auspop notes that the song, which was below last week’s Top 100, earns #69 on the extended listing.

“Adore” boasts a triple-platinum certification in Australia.
