While an extended physical encounter between The Rock and John Cena remains on the table for WWE WrestleMania 27, fans got the first taste of The Rock in the ring on this Monday’s RAW.
Following a lengthy back-and-forth interview segment that involved Rock, Cena and The Miz, Alex Riley and The Miz ganged up on The People’s Champion. Rock eventually fought back, tossing Riley out of the ring and then laying Miz out with the People’s Elbow.
Cena, however, then returned to the ring (he exited at one point to allow Miz and Rock to have their moment) and laid Rock out with The Attitude Adjustment. He offered some heel mannerisms as he celebrated the successful delivery of his finisher.
During Miz’s verbal rundown of The Rock, Cena also appeared to be laughing and offering an “oh, snap” reaction from the outside.
Earlier in the exchange, however, Cena played favorably to his fans, explaining that he is proud to be beloved among youth WWE fans and that The Rock should not judge him for wearing what he wants, listening to the music he does and believing in what he believes.
