The Grammy Premiere Ceremony just moved into awards recognizing music for Visual Media.
Music from “Moana” and “La La Land” emerged victorious.
“Moana” standout “How Far I’ll Go” (Auli’i Cravalho version) won for Best Song Written For Visual Media. The award recognizes songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Other nominees included “City Of Stars” (La La Land), “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” (Fifty Shades Darker), “Never Give Up” (Lion) and “Stand Up For Something” (Marshall).
The “La La Land” soundtrack, meanwhile, won for Best Compilation Soundtrack and Best Score Soundtrack.
Other compilation soundtrack nominees included “Baby Driver,” “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2: Awesome Mix Vol. 2,” “Hidden Figures,” and “Moana.”
Other score soundtrack nominees included “Arrival,” “Dunkirk,” “Game Of Thrones: Season 7,” and “Hidden Figures.”
