Update: Ahead of the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, Miley Cyrus and Julia Michaels stopped by “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”
Cyrus, whose appearance was not advertised in the official listings, competed with Colbert to determine who is the bigger Elton John fan. Cyrus will be performing with Elton John at Sunday’s Grammys.
Michaels closed the show with a medley of her Grammy-nominated song “Issues” and her new “Fifty Shades Freed” track “Heaven.”
“Issues” is up for Song Of The Year at Sunday’s show; Michaels is also contending for Best New Artist.

In its official listings for Friday’s “Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” CBS is advertising interviews with Kyle MacLachlan and Deon Cole and a performance by Julia Michaels.
Those three individuals appear as advertised.
They are not, however, the only celebrity guests on Friday’s show.
Miley Cyrus makes a special appearance on Friday’s show.
The “Colbert” appearance comes two days before Cyrus takes the stage at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards. She will be performing with Merit Award Recipient Elton John.
