In addition to winning the Grammy for Album of the Year, Kacey Musgraves’ acclaimed 2018 release “Golden Hour” has amassed solid consumption figures since its release. As of this week, the album officially boasts platinum status in the United States.

The RIAA issued the platinum certification on May 7, 2021. The award signifies 1 million in US units, with each equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales, or 1500 track streams.

“Golden Hour” peaked at #4 on the all-genre Billboard 200, while reaching #1 on the Top Country Albums chart.

The album follows debut studio effort “Same Trailer Different Park” in becoming Musgraves’ second platinum-certified album in the United States. The album also includes a handful of gold-certified tracks: “High Horse,” “Space Cowboy,” “Slow Burn,” and “Rainbow.”
