Nearly a full month remains until Christmas, but US music fans are already very much in the spirit.

Mariah Carey’s classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You” just returned to the Top 10 on the US Spotify Streaming Chart.

Credited with 787,506 streams on Friday, the tune ranked as the day’s #8 song. It should remain a fixture of the Top 10 as Christmas approaches.

Not simply a hit in the US, “All I Want For Christmas Is You” also occupies the Top 20 on the global streaming chart.

The big story, of course, will be whether “All I Want For Christmas” can reclaim the record for most single-day streams. The song established a new record on Christmas Eve last year (10.819 million global streams), but Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber’s “I Don’t Care” narrowly broke the record (with 10.977 million global streams) this past spring.
