ROSALÍA and J Balvin’s hit single “Con Altura (featuring El Guincho)” just attained gold status in the United States.

According to the RIAA, “Con Altura” earned the certification on October 10, 2019. The award confirms 500,000 in US units, with each unit equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

The song, notably, is the first ROSALÍA track to attain gold or platinum status under the standard RIAA certification. Her only previous US certification — a platinum award for “Malamente” — falls under the adjusted Latin Music program (60,000 units = platinum).

“Con Altura” has fared particularly well on YouTube; with nearly 1 billion views, it is one of the most successful videos of the year.
