Brantley Gilbert’s new “Fire & Brimstone” reached #1 on the US iTunes sales chart shortly following its release.

It remains in the pinnacle position as of press time at 1:05AM ET Friday morning.

Its closest competition is another new release: The Avett Brothers’ “Closer Than Together.”

Sturgill Simpson’s recently released “SOUND & FURY” follows at #3, ahead of Dermot Kennedy’s new “Without Fear” (#4) and Zach Williams’ new “Rescue Story” (#5).

Summer Walker’s new “Over It” (#6), Billie Eilish’s “WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?” (#7), Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ new “Ghosteen” (#8), Post Malone’s “Hollywood’s Bleeding” (#9) and Wilco’s new “Ode To Joy” (#10) form the balance of the Top 10.
